Be strong.
Yoga is a strength-based practice. It excels at using your body weight to make you stronger and increase muscle tone. Unlike weight training regimes that isolate movements, yoga is a whole-body workout. It builds strength you can use in your everyday activities.
Be mindful.
Mindful yoga, or mindful exercise, requires paying attention and being fully present when you are moving. It means listening to your body (and learning how to discern your body's communication signals) so that you know when you need to stop and when you can challenge yourself to do more.
Be present.
The journey of yoga is that all the joy, happiness and freedom that we are searching for out there in the future is actually right here and now. All we need to do is relax the mind enough to experience it as it really is.
